1. Lemon drives away ants

Many people do not know that a product as common as lemon juice can be an excellent alternative to chemical repellents.

Acid-containing compounds repel ants that invade your garden and the interior of your home.

• 1 lemon
• 1/2 l of water
• 1 bottle with spray

Method of preparation

• Squeeze the lemon juice and mix it with water.
• Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and apply it to the areas where the ants gather.
• You can use it several times a day, if needed.

2. Products that repel ants – coffee grounds

It turned out that the coffee grounds left over from the preparation of the delicious drink retain many of the original properties of coffee.

Therefore, it is not surprising that coffee grounds can be used as a natural repellent against ants. Its pungent odor bothers and drives away insects.

• 2 tablespoons coffee grounds (20 g)
• 1 l of water

Method of preparation

• Mix the water with water and spray the liquid in the infested areas of the house.
• Repeat the procedure at least three times a week.

3. Mint

Both the leaves and the essential oil of mint are interesting ways to get rid of ants.

The beautiful aroma that we love is very unpleasant for ants and prevents them from entering the house.

• 2 sachets of mint tea (4 g)
• Peppermint essential oil (optional)

Method of preparation

• After using the tea bags, extract the mint leaves and sprinkle them around the entrances to the house.
• Another option is to spray in the infested places peppermint essential oil mixed with water.

4. Products that repel ants – apple cider vinegar

The smell of vinegar is very strong, driving away ants. Apply the following mixture to the areas where these insects gather.

• 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar (125 ml)
• 1/2 cup water (125 ml)
• 1 bottle with spray

Method of preparation

• Dilute the vinegar with equal parts of water and put the mixture in the spray bottle.
• Apply the solution on the kitchen counter, on the sink, on the windows and in other places invaded by ants.
• Use it every day for best results.

5. Baking soda and sugar

Sugar is a substance that usually attracts all kinds of insects. But when you mix it with baking soda, you get a lethal combination.

• 1 tablespoon baking soda (9 g)
• 1 tablespoon sugar (10 g)

Method of preparation

• Mix the baking soda and sugar in a bowl and sprinkle the mixture in the areas where the ants enter the house.
• Use the repellent at least three times a week.

6. Mălaiul

Cornmeal has many uses in the household, and one of the unusual ones is to drive away ants.

Do not mix it with any other ingredient – sprinkle it in the problem areas to keep the ants away.
